Grit Chamber

Sewage from homes, roads, schools, and factories enters the facility through sewer pipes.

Influent Pump

The Influent pump raises the sewage to a suitable height for water treatment, ensuring it is evenly distributed to each sedimentation tank.

Final Sedimentation Tank

Sewage stays in this tank for about three hours. Activated sludge settles to the bottom, with most of it being returned to the biological reactor, while some is sent to the sludge thickening facility.

Bioreactors

Microorganisms grow and proliferate in this stage, removing pollutants such as organic matter, nitrogen, and phosphorus.

Primary Sedimentation Tank

Sewage stays in the tank for about two hours, during which time 30-35% of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Suspended Solids (SS) are removed.

Total Phosphorus Treatment

This facility removes phosphorus [P], a eutrophication factor, through chemical treatment.

Discharge

After completing all treatments, the treated water is discharged.
